Here we'll present an original project in Portugal, our friend Delio from Évora decided to fit a TDR 250 engine in a TZR 125 chassis, obtaining a TZR 250.
Bellow you can see the evolution of this project, it's not 100% finished yet, but it will be very soon.
There are some video footage of the bike the 1st alive.

"The purpose of this project is to make a 2-stroke 250cc inline twin race bike combining parts from diferent Yamaha TZR250 models. The main ideia is to fit the first generation TZR250 (2MA) engine (1KT) in a last generation v-twin TZR250 chassis (3XV model).

Considering the small probability of finding a 3XV chassis (very few were sold in portugal) and a 2MA engine, i started with a 4FL chassis wich is basicaly the same as the 3XV (the 4FL model is a 125cc TZR and uses similar frame, wheels, and very similar brakes and suspensions) and I bought a TDR250 in relatively bad shape to make use of the engine. The TDR250 engine is basicaly the same engine used in the 2MA TZR (1KT engine), but with a lowered first gear ratio, better cooling and a CD ignition with a digital advance...in fact The TDR250 is the world's first two-stroke bike to use a CD ignition with digital advance system." by Delio, owner of the "TZR 250" prototype
