| 5. This program doesn't have in account the attrition coeficient, and so, we RacingSM, in order to confirm the program results, used as already said, a portable GPS, so if you can, use a GPS to confirm your results. |

This is a Real Speed Calculator based on the RacingSM Software created by Pedro in 2003 with Visual Basic 6.0. The version here presented gives the oportunity to everyone calculate the real speed for his bike, but having in account some important points:
1. If you don't know your bike's gear ratios, try check in the GEARBOX DATABASE bellow, just click on the type of bike you have (Streetbike, Motocross, ATV, Supermoto), click on the desired model bike and fill the RPM, Rear Wheel Perimeter and Secondary Transmission Ratio that your bike actually has and click on CALCULATE button.
2. If you indeed know your bike gear ratios, all fields in BLUE are REQUIRED, so if you don't fill one of them, it won't calculate the real speed in each gear.
3. It's important that you fill the RPM based on real facts, not on supositions, for example, an Honda CR 500 doesn't rev till 10 000rpm, even if it's tuned, so don't fill with unrealistic values for your bike in order to prevent utopic real speeds.
4. These are ESTIMATED real speeds, already confirmed for several times with a portable GPS in the bike, for example, our previous Suzuki RGV 250 Gamma 1995' model was clocked @ 167 km/h on GPS @ 12 100 rpm in 4th gear and the Real Speed Calculator also obtained 167 km/h @ 12 100 rpm with the correct secondary gear ratio and rear wheel perimeter. |
